Issue Description Current Status

[MAXcam360c]

  • Use cases such as Live View, Gallery and OTA updates via the Drive Smarter App do not work consistently.

  • Application may take time to establish the connection, and data transfer may be slow.

  • Users may occasionally see a screen showing a spinner indicating it is waiting to connect, however the connection never occurs.

  • A firmware update was deployed via OTA. This firmware can be installed via the Drive Smarter app using the Firmware Update feature.

  • Users will also be provided access to the firmware via a web portal.

[MAXcam 360c]

Users registering product through the Accurate Driver Alert Systems, Drive Smarter! | ESCORT Radar website were unable to add their MAXcam360c to their Drive Smarter application. They encountered “Device already registered” or “Duplicate Dash Cam” messages. Issue first reported in October.

  • Temporarily web-based product registration for MAXcam360c is disabled.

  • Users can register their product by logging into their Drive Smarter application and “adding” their device to their account.

  • [10/29] A permanent fix to this issue is being tested. Pending confirmation, web-based product registration will be offered again in November.

Users of the Gallery feature currently do not see thumbnails of the videos stored on their device’s SD card.

  • Thumbnails are now available to view within the Gallery feature for Android users, in the latest app release, iOS users can expect to see this feature rolled out by the end of November.

When connected to a WiFi hotspot in the vehicle (a.k.a. station mode), the MAXcam 360c does not show posted speed limits or shared live alerts.

  • Development team is working on a fix which is targeted for delivery by the 1st week of December

  • In the meanwhile, users can leave the Drive Smarter running on their smartphones (does not have to be in the foreground), to ensure the Posted Speed Limits and Shared Live Alerts are shown on the MAXcam 360c display as well.

[All devices]

Users who deleted a device from their Drive Smarter account were no longer able to add those devices to the same or another account. They encountered “Device already registered” or “Duplicate Dash Cam” messages. Issue first noted during the 2nd week of October.

  • [10/28] Issue is resolved.

  • If users still see this issue,

    • please verify whether the device is still configured to one of your accounts - if you have multiple accounts on the Drive Smarter system.

    • Contact customer care if you are unable to resolve.
